INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – 2022 Firestone INDY NXT champion Linus Lundqvist has been appointed by Arrow McLaren to be the reserve driver for this weekend’s NTT INDYCAR Series race in Toronto, given that Nolan Siegel will not be cleared by INDYCAR Medical in time for on-track action this coming Friday.

Siegel suffered a concussion in Saturday’s Synk 275 powered by Sukup at Iowa Speedway after a Turn 4 crash in his No. 6 NTT Data Arrow McLaren Chevrolet and was not medically cleared by the INDYCAR Medical Team to drive in Sunday’s race.

Siegel will be reevaluated by the INDYCAR Medical Team on Thursday morning prior to traveling to Toronto and will be in the No. 6 Chevrolet if cleared. Lundqvist is reserved for precautionary reasons just in case Siegel is unable to compete in Sunday’s Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto.

Lundqvist began his INDYCAR career with Meyer Shank Racing in 2023, and competed for Chip Ganassi Racing in 2024 where he earned his first career pole at Road America and scored a pair of third place finishes at Barber Motorsports Park and World Wide Technology Raceway.
