Indianapolis, Ind. – Cadillac Racing announces that they will expand their 24 Hour of Le Mans entries for the historic endurance race this coming June 14-15.
In their 21-year history, Wayne Taylor Racing will make its Le Mans debut with its No. 101 hypercar class entry. Wayne Taylor Racing was founded in 2004 by South African sports car racer, Wayne Taylor. They will be joining the World Endurance Championship-WEC No. 12 & 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA, and the No. 311 Cadillac Whelen entries for this year’s event. Cadillac will be the only manufacture in this years field with four entries coming from three different teams.
“It has always been our plan to go to Le Mans with a shot at the overall win,” said Taylor. “When I was there with Cadillac in 2002, I was driving and both my kids were with me as spectators. Now, 20 years later, they are here driving for me with Cadillac. It is very exciting.”
This year’s 93 running of the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe and will feature a full 62-car field that will consist of 21 Hypercars, 17 LMP2 class cars, and 24 LMGT3 class cars.
